My Classic Air Guns: Beeman R-9 Air Rifle

The Beeman R9 break-barrel .177 caliber spring piston air rifle is a magnum class airgun with a muzzle velocity of 930 fps. And at only 7.3 pounds overall weight, the R-9 is among the lightest air rifles for this level of power.

The traditional spring piston powerplant gives years, and many thousands of shots of reliable service. Beeman's worldwide reputation for top quality air guns is certainly well deserved when you examine these German manufactured air guns. German airgun manufacturers have truly perfected the spring-piston air guns - The Beeman Model R9 is hand assembled for literally generations of shooting pleasure. The classic hardwood stock has traditional and time proven design. Even though there is a small cheekpiece designed for the right-handed shooter, this classic stock is truly ambidextrous and suitable for those shooting from either shoulder. A soft rubber butt plate trims finishes off a really beatiful stock.

The famous Beeman Rekord trigger is a standard feature on these world-class air guns. The Rekord trigger has long been regarded as one of the finest sporting air rifle triggers ever designed. It is factory set at about two pounds, and is fully adjustable to the shooters preference. An automatic safety is reset every time the rifle is cocked, and is easily released by pressing the button on the back of the action.

The Beeman R9 is only 43 inches long, and therefore is compact and quick handling. The rear sights on Beeman air rifles are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and the dovetails for mounting your choice of airgun scope are machined right into the receiver for rock solid performance.
